We’re proud to announce that Mr. Brandon Barnett, Director of Bands at Tindley Accelerated Schools, has been selected as a recipient of the 2026 Penrod Society’s Art Educator Impact Award. This prestigious honor celebrates educators who use the arts to inspire creativity, foster connection, and enrich their communities.
Mr. Barnett’s leadership in musical arts has made a profound impact on our scholars—sparking imagination, building confidence, and supporting academic excellence. His dedication to inclusion, access, and artistic innovation continues to shape a vibrant and meaningful learning environment.
As part of this recognition, Tindley Accelerated Schools will receive a $5,000 grant to support and expand our musical arts programming.
Mr. Barnett will be formally honored at the Penrod Society’s Easel Event on Saturday, March 7, 2026.
