What is a matching gift?
These are a type of employee benefit where a company will match an employees donation to a local non-profit or school.
When an employee makes a donation they can request a matching gift from their employer, who then makes a separate donation.
Most companies match at a 1:1 ratio, but some will match at a 1:2 or even 1:3 ratio.
